Historical Background
“Villa il Borghetto”, or more simply “The Borghetto” as we in the family usually call the Villa, is a palace protected by the Superintendency of Artistic and Cultural Heritage for its prestigious architectural value; in the past it also housed a convent, as evidenced by the charming chapel, still consecrated, located right next to the main door.
Il Borghetto has been linked to the history of our family for several decades, and in particular since 1997, when our father, Cesare, took full possession of it.
At the time, the Borghetto was little more than a ruin, but after a long and painstaking renovation, finally in 2005 the “Borghetto” was resurrected to a new life, becoming a evocative period residence.
Instead of old ruins, bright and charming flats, where there used to be vegetable gardens and weeds there are now gardens.
About Us

Cristina
the younger sister. With a degree in communication, she is the one who “dragged” the whole family into the wonderful world of tourism when she finished her studies! Passion, enthusiasm and empathy are the winning mix that she puts at the service of guests on a daily basis!

Claudio
the older brother. Kind and caring, he takes care of the day-to-day running of the Residence, from reception to administration. He knows Siena and its territory better than his pockets!

Caesar and Marina: our parents
Cesare was born and raised in Borghetto, he strongly wanted the renovation of the Villa and is the architect of everything you see now! He works as a nurseryman and takes care of gardens, so it is only natural that his main job is to maintain the green areas. Marina is a typical Italian mother, for her anyone who enters the Borghetto's door is not just a guest but a member of the family by right. She takes care of the flats as if they were her own home and supervises the cleaning work inside the flats.
